University of Wyoming invites applications for fully funded PhD positions starting in Spring or Fall 2026

Dear Colleagues,

My research lab at the University of Wyoming invites applications for fully funded PhD positions starting in Spring or Fall 2026. The lab’s mission is to advance safe, intelligent, and connected transportation systems by integrating interdisciplinary expertise and emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital twins, Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), and human factors.

Our work develops theoretical models and practical applications that sense traffic conditions, predict future scenarios, and facilitate real-time communication among infrastructure, vehicles, and road users. Ongoing projects include digital twins for infrastructure monitoring and control, Large Language Models (LLMs)-based real-time traffic monitoring, and data-driven approaches for proactive traffic safety prediction. For more information about this position, please refer to: https://peili-safety.github.io/files/position_post.pdf

I would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity within your networks or with potential candidates.

Best regards,
Pei
